Pitlands Farm Holidays is small, family owned and run holiday farm set in 25 acres of beautifully landscaped orchards, lakes and gardens.
Our collection of 8 delightful holiday properties are all fully equipped for a reassuringly stress-free holiday. We take great pride in the self catering accommodation we offer together with our facilities; private hot tubs, 2 coarse fishing lakes, a games room & lawn, a children’s adventure playground, circular walks from the farm and our farm cafe, The Bloom Café, at the heart of the Farm.

Due to illness, some of our lovely guests (who have been so much looking forward to celebrating New Year at Pitlands) are unable to travel 🙁.
So, we have Russet Bungalow (sleeps 4 people) available for a last minute New Years break (from today, Saturday 27th Dec until Friday, 2nd January 2026).

Yesterday, Jo & Charlotte Thompson made the sad announcement that they will no longer be running The Apple Tree Kitchen in 2026, their last day will be 24th December 2025.
Their departure is not something any of us want, but the decision was taken out of our hands due to Government policy.
Recent changes in Government legislation in regards to passing a family business from one generation to the next have made thing very difficult for us.
Pitlands Farm has been in our family for nearly 100 years, to protect our future at Pitlands, and that of our children, we have had to make this exceptionally hard decision.
We would like to reassure everyone however, that this is not the end of The Apple Tree Kitchen.
The Apple Tree Kitchen will be re-opening again in early 2026, just operated and managed by Pitlands Farm Holidays, but most importantly, it will be serving food and drink in our beautiful surroundings once again for you all to enjoy.
Do pop in and see Jo & Charlotte before Christmas, they’d love to see you.

So devastated this place is closing, it’s where I bought mom for her birthday before she passed away and it was where I realised she was really unwell but she loved it there and I was planning on coming every birthday to remember her🥺I bring my grandkids here all the time it is our happy place ( was) 😞

Preparations are in full swing for our Charity Pumpkin Pile 2025.
This year we will be raising money for St Richard's Hospice.
Our pumpkins (and we’ve got a fabulous selection) will be available from Wednesday 24th September, you’ll find them outside our lovely farm cafe, The Apple Tree Kitchen, right at the heart of Pitlands Farm.
Like last year, we will be suggesting a minimum donation for the pumpkins depending on what size and variety you choose.
All we ask is that you donate appropriately for what you take, remembering how important St Richard's Hospice is to us all 🍂🎃🍁🎃🍁

Introducing our new ‘Home Grown Hut’, the perfect place for you to pick up homegrown seasonal produce, all handpicked from our greenhouse, gardens & fields here on the farm. You've got very industrious children. I was very impressed with their supervision of their Dad with the picker. Very much looking forward to getting a taste of the Apple Juice before I head home from another great holiday at Pitlands Farm.
