We had another very different week. On the evening of 8th, we welcomed a coach party of 18 people from Finland, escorted by their English guide Maggie. She had arranged a coach tour for each day of their stay, visiting gardens, Ludlow Food Festival, Cider tasting, Witley Court and church, Worcester, Malvern, over the border into Wales. They had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect - they arrived in the dark, hadn`t a clue where they were, and woke up to a cloudless blue sky in the picturesque Teme Valley. For their last night they had decided to all eat together having what they called a typical English supper Fish and Chips, which Ian and Maggie fetched from the local pub - it went down well with the cider they had brought back from the tasting afternoon. It was all such a success, there is talk of another visit next year.
A bit of good news, we have reached the finals of the Welcome Worcestershire Awards for self catering. It all came as a complete surprise, as I had no idea we had been nominated. I was really pleased that guests must have taken the trouble to put our name forward. Thank you.
