Autumn at Pitlands Farm
29 Oct 2013 13:58
The end of a wonderful summer leading into what looks like a beautiful autumn at Pitlands Farm. The colours are stunning, especially on a warm sunny day like today with hardly a cloud in the sky. What a bonus for the late holidaymakers, we were lucky, we missed most of the storms. Still a lot to look forward to before Christmas. Guess the weight of the pumpkin at the New Inn on 31st October, prize, a meal for two and bottle of wine, proceeds to the Air Ambulance. We now find we could have taken a larger pumpkin up, but we just can`t lift it! Clifton on Teme village bonfire and fireworks on 2nd November. Later next month there is the Medieval Fayre in Ludlow Castle, followed by the Victorian Christmas Fair in Worcester - ideal to combine a weekend away and source a few unusual Christmas presants.
Already people are starting to think about holidays in 2014. Late summer must be the "wedding" season, as we have got two whole weeks booked out for weddings in the area, and also a French school exchange trip in June, as well as quite a few return visitors. Fingers crossed for another beautiful summer.
A big thank you to all our guests for their positive feedback, lovely comments and good wishes.
